Wekfest Hawaii 2020
February 1, 2020 marked the annual Wekfest tour for the state of Hawaii. My brother and I debated whether or not we were gonna enter the show… turns out it was a good thing we didn’t as we had a lot to do on the day, but that didn’t stop me from going to take a look.
The show was held in the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. I wish that it were able to still be held at the Ward Parking Lot. That was my favorite venue.
I took a lot of pictures but unfortunately they came out grainier than I would have liked… I used the kit lens in order to get more wide-angle shots for variety, but it was a step back from the prime 50mm. I regret it – still a learning process for me. There also weren’t as many rides as I would have liked, but there was indeed some quality builds to go around. I was absolutely blown away by RedZone and what they brought to the table. Amazing.
Fascinating how much detail are dedicated into cars. Engine bay layout is an art form that I have yet to scratch the surface of. It was something I never really cared for but only recently been catching my attention. And wuddya’ know, all the ones that were compelling came from Honda’s!
“Every time I see @naito_nation ‘s car, all I can think about is how bad ass it’d be to drive that thing. Autox, track, or just cruising on the freeway – don’t matter. Wishful thinking….”
There are times where I really miss my old civic coupe. I’d have loved to live that car out to the max after seeing other civics like this!
And that’s all for my little mini coverage. Next time will be Spocom in June!!!
