Spocom Hawaii 2022 | Part 2
This year’s Spocom Hawaii 2022 was three years in the making due to it continuously being postponed. The anticipation was matched to the designs throughout the show. As opposed to part 1 with cars sitting in the exhibition hall, part 2 features a limited amount of cars that were housed in the arena side of Blaisdell.
Unfortunately, I did end up with a lot of unusable pics of this side of the show… lesson learned, but here are the ones that I was fortunately able to share.
The cars at the top of the list are ones that I took a personal liking to for various reasons in no particular order. Enjoy the short list and as always keep the designs coming!
As weird as it might sound, I’ve never owned a Honda hatch before. But if I ever did, this design by @oneupgrarage would probably be my biggest inspiration to do so.
Those who’ve seen the history of this next design belong to a particular group close to my heart – it is the car generation I grew up in. We’re talking when honda-tech and forumshawaii were the places to frequent online – those two sites were extremely prominent to me. I’m guessing that people don’t know what those are… or Woolworths… or GEMS… or Phase I and Phase II… or Castlepark… or
I remember when @89hatcher had it in many stages, such as the first Hellaflush Hawaii show at Ke’ehi Lagoon. I respected its design particularly because at the time, EF’s weren’t that popular compared to the EG and EK chassis.
I’ve known (@m4rkym4rk) the owner of this design for quite a while now. I’ve associated him with this wonderfully designed 240 once upon a time. This USDM Integra is in contrast to the ever popular ITR front end conversion.
This hatch purposefully pieced together by @cupcait92 stands strong in a world of testosterone k-swapped Hondas.
