Jessie’s 2015 Subaru BRZ
It’s real neat how two people can get to talking about something as simple as a car. I know many who have gotten along with each other, are polar opposites, and the only thing they have in common is cars.
I met Jessie through mutual friends of ours and I came to believe that they all went to the same school together. Turns out I was wrong. Not only did they go to completely different schools, they didn’t even live in the same city.
I was also wrong in assuming that the car that Jessie owns was an FRS, but it is actually a BRZ. To me this car has Toyota written all over it. Though I consider them almost the same car, there are small differences… the FRS/BRZ chassis guys will be able to point them out much better than I can…
FRS or BRZ no matter, Jessie does what he does because he can and he enjoys it. Period. This design and build definitely caught my attention.
What you see here is the second iteration from when I first remember it once upon a time. It went from tiltly-stretch “stance-y” to subtle-beefy “stance-y”. Though I tend to sway towards the stretched end of the spectrum, the work put into getting it to sit on some 255/40 that low is impressive.
It was challenging shooting out in the bright ass sun just as it decided to peak its head out from the clouds right when we had set up. However, great photographers have told me to not let unideal shooting conditions stop you… “make it work.” So I did the best I could.
On the outside we have the main reason why I was swerved. It’s an FRS front bumper painted WR Blue Pearl.
Check how beefy these Falken RT615K+ are fitted into the wells. 255/40
Wheels are TE37SL 17×9.5j +45
Look at these beauties. I wanted these for my old 99 Civic way back when. Recaro Confettis!
Love the deep corn steering wheel. I only noticed the signal extender just now…
Within the engine bay it also did not go unnoticed with dress up and misc parts.
Toyota BRZ? Lawl… I really thought it was an FRS painted the BRZ blue.
Toyota Racing Developement!!!
Was an honor and pleasure to be able to take photos of this. It will not be the last we see of it.. looking forward to what the future brings to Jessie! Wanna thank him for his time and coming out to give me the opportunity to hang and talk story!
Keep designing, keep building, keeping driving!
